Hope Clubhouse of Southwest Florida, Inc seeks Executive Director

Hope Clubhouse of Southwest Florida, Inc seeking an Executive Director. 

The Board of Directors of the newly organized Hope Clubhouse located in the Fort Myers, Florida area (Lee County) is actively soliciting resumes from qualified individuals for the position of Executive Director.  The Executive Director will work in partnership with a strong Board of Directors, Clubhouse members, staff, and community leaders to develop the first Clubhouse Model program in Southwest Florida.  Hope Clubhouse of Southwest Florida, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide services and opportunities in the Clubhouse setting for people living with mental illness.

Initially, the Executive Director will work with the Board to raise funds for the new Clubhouse, locate and develop an appropriate site for the Clubhouse, and engage Clubhouse members in the operations of a functioning Clubhouse. The Executive Director will be responsible for managing the operations of the Clubhouse, including hiring and supervising staff, program development and administration, finances, public relations, fund raising, and quality assurance.  The Executive Director will be responsible for implementing the Standards of the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) and obtaining ICCD accreditation.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership, financial management and fundraising skills.
  • Experience working with people with mental illness, disabilities, or other related experience.
  • Experience working with boards of directors or advisory boards.
  • Experience in nonprofit or human services management, including supervisory roles.
  • Self-starter with an excellent work ethic and ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Excellent writing, public speaking and computer skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to attend a 3-week, paid, out-of-town ICCD training course.
  • Clear understanding, ability to articulate, and a commitment to the values and standards of ICCD Clubhouse model programs.
  • Live in or move to Southwest Florida.

Compensation

The starting salary is competitive and will depend on qualifications and experience.
