Position: Research Assistant
Department: Adult Rehabilitation Services
The Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service is one of Brooklyn’s first and largest non-sectarian social services agencies. Serving more than 10,000 individuals annually, the Brooklyn Bureau is committed to a broad and diverse range of services including prevention of foster care placement; crisis intervention; early childhood and after school education; and vocational training, job placement, and clinical services to adults with physical and developmental disabilities, and histories of mental illness.
The Brooklyn Bureau is engaged in a three year research project in partnership with Dartmouth University. We seek to determine the impact of a combination of Cognitive Remediation and Illness Management and Recovery treatments on vocational outcomes for individuals with sever and persistent mental illness.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
BA degree in Psychology or Social Work preferred. Experience working with people with serious and persistent mental illness required. Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
